Fandral the Dashing frowned as he looked toward Heimdall, sentry and ever vigilant guardian of the realm of Asgard. The roguish swordsman shook his head as he approached his stoic fellow Asgardian. The other two members of the Warriors Three, Hogun the Grim and Volstagg the Voluminous, were busy arguing the merits of the Midgard sport known as "football". It would seem that the mortal denizens of Broxton were organizing a small team of sorts, which had in turn, drew interest from their neighbors. Fandral did not understand the mass appeal of the game when hunting frost giants and rock trolls was far more engaging, though he had to admit, the women who served as "cheerleaders" did well to make him consider looking into the mortal pass time.
Still, he was less concerned about football and more concerned with the demeanor of Thor. "Heimdall, what think you of our lord's current state of mind?," he asked pointedly, rubbing his neatly stylized goatee.
"King Balder seems to be as well as ever," replied the guardian of the once and former Bifrost Bridge, his eyes taking on a starry like quality as he perceived events as only he could.
"I meant Thor."
"Thor has stepped down as our lord, leaving his brother Balder to rule Asgard into the next age," Heimdall stated. "But you know this."
"Yes, I do know a great many things," Fandral quipped as he inclined his head in an almost mocking bow. "But do you not see how Thor carries himself as of late? It is like he's...distracted. Mayhaps even distressed. Your eyes and ears are the best in all the Nine Realms. Surely you've noticed something?"
Heimdall was silent for a few moments, sighing once as his eyes returned to their normal quality as he turned to face his horned helmeted face to look at Fandral directly. "He does not voice his concern, but it is of the elements themselves. The thunder does not readily obey its master. Neither does the rain, nor the wind. You know as well as I and the rest of our brothers and sisters that Thor's command of the elements is without rival. And if the storm does not bend to Thor's will...than it is the result of the natural balance and order of Midgard being disrupted."
Fandral nodded solemnly just in time to see the blur of motion that was none other than the Thunder God soaring away from Asgard and toward a destination known only to him. Heimdall's assertion was correct, verily, and for days, Thor had been restless as a result. Strange weather phenomenons had started to occur across the globe, ending as suddenly as they had started. And while Thor had averted disaster numerous times before it was too late, the fact remained that even with mighty Mjolnir in hand, the weather did not sway as easily as it once did.
There was one other whom Thor knew of that shared the ability to influence everything from a gentle summer breeze to a torrential rainstorm. If he was correct, she too felt the change in the wind, both figuratively and literally. With a steely resolve, the Son of Odin flew toward the highly developed and technologically advanced nation of Wakanda, where he hoped she was currently present.

Ororo was in the palace that was the home of the royal family of Wakanda. Everyone had notice that Ororo was not her usual self. Ororo had been using Wakanda's advanced technology to find out what was wrong with the weather. She sensed it and was in pain from the unnatural weather. The workers of the palace were giving her space knowing that she was not herself. Some where braver then others and would help her if they could.
Sighing Ororo walked outside the palace and looked to the sky studying it in her own unique way. She could actually see the weather patterns and they were chaotic in a way that she never seen. She leaned against the wall of the palace for support. Ororo had called the other X-men and Hank had nothing to tell her what could be causing the problems. She was watching the sky looking for anything that could tell her what was happening to the weather.

Wakanda was a place that Thor knew of, but seldom visited of his own accord. The country was cautious of outsiders (and rightfully so considering the numerous invasion attempts) despite enjoying civil diplomatic relations with the rest of the world. As such, the Son of Odin respected the laws and traditions of the home and beloved kingdom of former fellow Avenger, T'Challa, also known as the legendary Black Panther.
Swinging Mjolnir in a wide circular arc, Thor halted his approach before gently descending to the ground below, his crimson cape swaying as the afternoon sun shined from above, causing his metal chain mail to glint in its light. The Thunder God was aware that his arrival had likely been tracked by various means by the people of Wakanda, and as such, would likely not surprise the ruler of the African nation. And while Thor would have liked to speak with his old friend and Avenger, it was not T'Challa he wished to speak with this day.
The front courtyard of the palace was where Thor had landed, smiling in spite of the troublesome situation which had vexed him so. The various guards surrounding the palace looked to and from each other with uncertainty as they glanced to the new arrival. Removing his winged helmet to reveal the golden locks underneath, Thor nodded his head cordially and placed his weapon at his side. "Greetings, honorable guards to the royal palace of Wakanda," he announced in his deep voice. "I am aware this comes as an unusual and perhaps unwelcome intrusion, but let it be known that is an urgent one. I wish to speak to Queen Ororo, if possible." Thanks to his own experiences as ruler of Asgard, Thor's diplomacy was not as limited as others initially thought. He patiently stood outside the front walls, awaiting a response as his blue eyes looked to the skies above.
He feared it was only a matter of time before this unnatural affront to nature grew even more dire than what it was now.

A crow perches on the LexCorp skyscraper, the second tallest building in the world nest to Burj Khalifa, in Dubai. Squawk! The crow screams, and flys away, leaving behind silence at the top floor of the building. A terrible plan is being set forth today, born of a terrible man.
Lex sets his hands on his long, metallic oval table, with his head down and grinning. "Our dream is about to begin." he says. He looks up and around his table at his loyal followers, most of which leaders in business and politics. They all smile the same smile Lex has on his face, fully engulfed in their own thoughts of how the world will change, especially for their own personal benefit. Lex stands up, "Not only will we bring this world to it's knees, but we will wipe out the competition in the process, and in-turn, make our own future. We will rule the world, well, what's left of it, but out of that we will be in complete control over what happens next." Lex removes a remote from his pocket and presses the glowing green button, which opens a hole in the table, and a 3-dimensional t.v rises. "I'm going to show you exactly what's going to happen, and not even Superman can stop this..." Lex paces. "The technology which my company has been working on for the last few years is quite advanced. You see, the world has it's own magnetic field, and this magnetic field keeps the planet in it's orbit and it's axis, but with our technology...what we call the Magnetic Pulsator-X which spans thousands of miles, we can disrupt the magnetic field around the earth, causing it to gravitate twords the Sun and break away from it's gravitational pull. Gravitation twords the Sun, and the magnetic pulse going through the earth, will cause weather anomolies such as Earthquakes, Super Cell storms, volcanic reactions, tidal waves, not to mention the rising heat as we get closer and closer to the sun. In 2 weeks, my scientists estimate that over 40% of the earths population will be dead by the intense effects, but not us. We will be safe." He turns and looks at the obviously scared group of people who were once ecstatic, realizing how insane the plan sounds. "Not to worry, we will be safe underground protected by many walls of Titanium, encased in the strongest of metals, and protected from the strongest of earthquakes. And after all is said and done, we just de-activate Magnetic Pulsator-X and the earth will gravitate back to it's orbit. By that time over 70% of earth will be wiped out, leaving behind the wreckage of countries for us to breath life back into. All I have to do is press this button. So....is everyone ready?" He looks around, and everyone nods, greed and power in their eyes. "Very well, today history is born."
Lex presses the glowing green button, and at that moment the air shifts, and the clouds sing with sorrow.

"Your highness, you have a visitor at the front door," one of the workers told her.
"Who?" Ororo asked curious. She had not been expecting anyone to drop by and many of the X-men were busy elsewhere so she knew it was not any of them.
"Thor, your highness," she was told her.
"Thank you, I will greet him now," she told the worker. She pushed herself off the wall and walked to the front door they were opened for her and she walked out to see that it was indeed Thor standing there. The last time she faced Thor she faced his clone but, Hercules had destroyed that clone and she knew Reed had not made any others. "Hello Thor, what brings you Wakanda?" Ororo asked nicely. Ororo was wearing a loose dark blue long bell sleeved dress. The dress was floor length had a small v neck that left Ororo's neck bare. The dress was loose enough that it had a small train. Her right hand rested against her left side on her ribs while her left hand hung down.

His steady smile soon turned into a slight grimace as he continued to glance up at the skies. Even now, he could feel the winds of change blow. Violent and sporadic change. As the God of Thunder, the storm and its elements were his to command, to summon, and to disperse at will. It his birthright and power alike. And to witness the weather he had so easily controlled before resist him...it was a heavy blow to the prideful heart of the Asgardian. His senses, especially when it came to all things pertaining to the weather, were extraordinarily acute.
A shift in the tide over in Hawaii. A tornado touching ground in Kansas. A tsunami in India. Even without Mjolnir, Thor could sense the workings of the Earth and its meteorological patterns. With his enchanted hammer, his sense of control and manipulation operated at a truly unbelievable level. And in the here and now, it required effort not normally required to keep a simple raging thunderstorm in check.
It angered him.
Thor's anger was something that was stuff of legends on both Midgard and in Asgard. He knew not what or who was responsible for this perversion of the natural order of things, but one thing was certain. There would be a reckoning, indeed. The arrival of Queen Ororo, also known as the X-Man, Storm, caused Thor to smile once more, inclining his head in a polite bow. "It is good to see you again, Your Majesty," he replied. "And while I would wish these were under better circumstances, alas, they are not." Thor turned solemnly as he glanced back up the sky, deceptively peaceful in spite of the growing chaos elsewhere across the planet. "As a fellow child of the gentle breeze and raging tempests alike, you are but one of the few who could understand my concern, and the only other one save myself whom I would trust dealing with it properly. Midgard's - Earth's - weather...it has been disrupted, changed. Mjolnir is able to rectify the situation with effort, but it is only a temporary solution to the problem as a whole. I fear for Midgard's stability and safety."
He let his words hang in the air long enough for Ororo to contemplate them, crossing his muscular arms in front of his chest as he did.

Ororo gave a bow of her head in return of Thor's. "It is good to see you again my friend. Please we are friends call me Storm or Ororo," she told him. "I see you to are bothered by the disturbances. Any idea how far they spread? From what the instruments can tell us it is not just the weather, the whole magnetic field seems to be effective," Ororo stated getting down to business. A huge gust of wind blew by them blowing Ororo's dress and hair sideways Ororo was taken slightly off guard by the sudden wind and was almost knocked off her feet.
As sudden as the wind came up it stopped leaving an eerie calm in its wake. "It is growing worse and more unpredictable the weather. I too fear for Earth's safety Goddess knows how long it will last," Ororo pointed out. She winced as thunder was heard a distant away. "The sky cries out in pain and the Earth is crying itself. I do not even dare attempt to summon the wind to fly, with the way the wind is blowing I would be knocked out of the sky before I get too far," Ororo admitted to Thor.

Thor's thin smile belied the growing concern within the God of Thunder. Storm was as courteous as she was beautiful, a true and just ruler of the peoples of Wakanda alongside her husband, T'Challa. He was honored to call her a friend and ally alike as well as a fellow rider of the winds. "Aye," he responded with a heavy sigh and nod, his blue eyes closing momentarily as he did. "Aye. This disturbance extends across the entirety of Midgard, spurring on seemingly random changes and chaotic shifts in temperature, climate, and the skies above. Mjolnir has likewise detected the change in the magnetic field of the planet as well."
The abrupt gust of wind caused Thor's cape to flow violently in the wind, eliciting a frown as the warrior instinctively reached for his enchanted warhammer. His patience in this matter had long since been tried. And now the very elements he regularly bent to his will sought to attack him? The Son of Odin? He would not have it. Just as fingers wrapped around the handle of Mjolnir, the wind stopped before Thor could rectify the situation. "By Od's blood," he quietly remarked, admittedly frustrated and shocked alike. Turning to face Storm, Thor placed his helm back on his head, his chiseled jaw setting in place. "Midgard can not sustain this unnatural affliction for long. And as a child of both this world and the Realm Eternal, it is my duty to see an end to this crisis. Of this, Thor swears."
His heritage, specifically his role as a direct offspring of the elder goddess Gaea herself, forged a bond between Thor and the world of man. He would do everything in his Asgardian power to prevent the ruination of the world he loved as much as Asgard itself. And woe be to the forces responsible for this egregious assault.

Ororo nodded when Thor told it reached across the globe. "I suspected as much," Ororo stated. She did not like where things were headed. Her eyes shifted from blue to white and back to blue. As she gazed at the sky taking in the energy patterns of the sky.
Ororo pushed her hair back behind her ear with her right hand. "I agree the Earth can last long like this. I too want to put an end to this madness. Left unchecked it will only get worse, which the Earth can not handle," Ororo stated. Ororo gasped and clutched her side as a gigantic bolt of lightning ripped through the sky. The boom from the lightening was almost deafening and echoed from the sheer size of the lightening.
A member of the place guard ran out right after the boom from the thunder had faded. "Your Majesty are you alright?" he asked concerned. "We heard and felt the thunder throughout the palace," he told her.
"That was not because of me," Ororo told him. "I will be better as soon as we can end these weather anomalies," Ororo told him. "Please prepare one of the transports to go," Ororo told him.

Lex and company stand high above, facing out of the spotless window to the city below. The skies begin to slowly tumble and turn, a light haze of green masking the view, sunlight barely getting through the thickening clouds. "This is only the beginning..." he mutters. A short stocky woman in a suit stands beside him and nods affirmingly. Lex puts his hands on the glass and stares, as a small child would, at a dead animal for the first time.
Deep underground, connected to the "safe zone", the Magnetic Pulsator-X is held in a room surrounded by glowing green tubes lining the walls. The machine spins rapidly as its discs fold in and out of each other, emitting a reverberation every few seconds. The "safe zone" is empty for now. It consists of a short hallway with 3 doors on each wall, the Pulsator room at one end, and an elevator at the other. Built as a 'home away from home' of sorts and completely of non magnetic metals of course. Each of the 6 apartments has their own refrigerator, kitchen, wide screen television, bathroom, and cabinets riddled with food for each of their 2 week long stays.
Lex removes his hand from the window. "I suppose it's about that time, i'm sure you will all find the accommodations here to your liking. I've spared no expense in providing the best possible stay in 'Hotel de Lex' " He says in his best french accent and chuckles. "Right this way." He maneuvers through the small crowd and twords a lion head mounted on the wall. He presses the lion's eyes and they light up, the wall turns and reveals a shiny metallic door, the group in awe. "In we go!"
Everyone huddles in the elevator, staring at the darkening room before them as the doors slowly close. The elevator rumbles. A screen on the wall displays a message that reads "Turning" in bright letters. The rumbling stops and the elevator begins to hum downwards, the screen now reads "Lowering".

It was emboldening to see Queen Ororo, in spite of the adverse weather patterns taking a visible toll on her more so than Thor, still ready to do what she could to ensure that this affront to the natural order of things come to an end. Thor's eyes narrowed as he knew what was coming next. The sudden flash of lightning torn through the sky like a blade, heralded by the rolling thunder in the distance.
"Stay thy hand," Thor shouted to the very elements themselves as he raised Mjolnir, the hammer taking an ethereal quality as he pointed his fabled weapon toward the sky itself. The suddenly blackened skies slowly churned, rain clouds growing in size instead of dissipating. It was an act of defiance. One which Thor would not abide. "In the name of my father, Odin, the All-Father, and of my mother, Gaea, Elder Goddess of the Earth herself," Thor slowly began as he began to spin Mjolnir overhead in a circular fashion, the hammer generating untold energies as the air grew static around him. "I command thee to stay...thy...hand!" His voice boomed, much like the thunder he once commanded without question. The skies above relented finally, slowly shifting back to their normal state.
Seldom occasions warranted the weather and the elements of the storm outright refusing to obey him without Mjolnir, much less with it. The hammer gave him a fine tuned control of his power over the weather, able to not only manipulate what was present in any given atmosphere and climate, but also to summon storms and the like which were not bound by the rules of the science of man. He would not dare to employ more power than what he had done moments prior; force was but a temporary solution. Not even he could hold the planet in check indefinitely. Thor lamented the loss of the awe-inspiring Odin Force he had once inherited from Odin himself. With it, he was capable of extraordinary feats, feats which dwarfed what he could accomplish now. He could put an end to this once and for all, but alas, what little remnant of the Odin Force he had was now sealed within Mjolnir forever.
Turning to Storm, Thor lowered Mjolnir to his side, though he kept the hammer in hand. "My lady, are you fit to continue? This affliction will only grow and more violently."

Ororo and the palace guard watched as Thor struggled to clear the dark clouds in the sky. Ororo knew if Thor had that much trouble with clearing the skies, it would be even harder for herself to clear the skies in not impossible. She let out a small sigh of relief once the skies had cleared. Things seemed to be getting worse by the minute. The palace guard took one looked at Ororo's face and knew he was not changing her mind. "I will prepare one of the jets, your highness," he told her before heading back into the palace.
"I am well aware that the afflictions will grow worse my friend but, that will not stop me. When someone hurts the Earth this bad I want to know who and why," Ororo told Thor with determination in her eyes. She would push herself to the edge to stop the madness that was happening. "Maybe together we can pin point the source of these weather disturbances," Ororo pointed out. She took another look at the sky before turning toward the palace. "Let us be off, I am not sure how long the sky will stay clear," Ororo pointed out.

The windrider's beauty was matched only by her courage. Despite the adverse conditions which would await her should she attempt to help rectify the solution, still did she intend to do so. Thor's respect for the woman grew in that very moment, causing the Odinson to nod. As the Wakanda Royal Guards prepared a transport for their queen, Thor considered a possibility.
"The one you call Magneto," he began, not hiding his obvious distaste for the mutant upon uttering his name. "He has since reformed, yes? He has attempted to reverse the magnetic poles before and has used Midgard's own magnetic field against it, holding the entire planet hostage. I trust he would not be so foolish as to attempt the same ploy twice." Thor and Magneto had clashed several times in years past, with the mutant master of magnetism being one of a very few which were able to manipulate Mjolnir against Thor's will. And while Thor has been able to defeat the man, even one such as he had to concede that Magneto was one of the elite powers on the planet besides himself.
"Aye, together we shall save Midgard and put an end to this perversion of nature!," Thor exclaimed, ready to put his words to action. "And woe be to the parties responsible should Thor cross their paths." As Thor followed Ororo back to the palace, he spared another blue eyed glance at the skies above, almost daring them to defy him again. "I shall fly alongside your transport, Queen Ororo," Thor stated. "Should the storms prove to be even more chaotic than before, I would need to be in open sky to remedy the situation."

"He is trying to redeem himself it seems and he is living with the other X-men. I already have talked to Hank and he assures me that Magneto is not trying anything that would effect the planet on such a wide or destructive scale. I think Hank was going to try and see if he could pin point the source and maybe try to reduce the problem." Ororo told him.
"Indeed," Ororo stated when Thor stated that they together would save the world. She smiled a little when Thor promised who ever was responsible would regret crossing his path. "I understand, I am hoping the ships computers will be able to help us in point the source of these anomalies," Ororo told him. In truth she to preferred flying under her own power but, the transports were quickly and the elements were not heeding her call enough for her to fly any kind of distance with certainly that the winds would support her.
